Hi folks,

Can someone oblige with a writing sample of :

- Broad Nib

- Stub nib

- Medium nib

from the Legacy Heritage and/or Legacy II series.

Any comments on writing experience, performance of nib would be most helpful.

Tks much

I've posted Sheaffer XF - medium samples here (scroll down) if that's any help. Haven't yet got a Legacy or broader nibs, though.

I took the plunge and purchased the Sheaffer NOS Legacy in Green Lacquer <Stub>.

The pen arrived intact last night , purchased from Todd of iSellpens.

Here is a writing sample.

Took some pics of the nib.

Here is the front

The side

and the rear

I find the nib more of a crisp? italic rather than a stub. ie the corners of the nib is very sharp (compared against the DaniTrio Raw Ebonite Flexy Stub) which means that the nib has to be more carefully laid on to the writing surface.

Pretty decent FP I must say. Build quality is good. Sturdy with good heft , indicative of dedicated workmanship of times past.

My guess is that the other nib sizes shld fare very well indeed.

rather annoyed with this new software where there is a time limit to edit my own posts...

Anyway, here is a more friendly sized image of the writing sample
