Archimark's Great Blue Pen Sale

Gonna be brave and offer up some Excellent Blue Beauty's from my pen stable as I need to defray some of my other recent pen acquisitions....

 

So, thought I'd put up an assortment of great blue pens for all you blue pen lovers here at FPN....

 

If my nerves hold up, I'll probably put another batch of black pens for your consideration in another separate post....

So, here we go....starting left to right:

 

Parker Duofold Senior Lapis

 

Parker Blue Lapis Lazuli Senior Duofold Fountain Pen. The pen is in very nice condition with only minimal ambering of the barrel as is common with these pens. It is in extremely good condition having been recently fully restored. There are no cracks, personalized engravings, or deep scratches on the pen. Pen is 5-1/2" capped.

 

The imprint is fairly good. The nib is an original and reads Parker Duofold, and is 14k gold and writes quite nicely. The pen is from the 1930's and it is difficult to find them in good working condition such as this one, or with good color. The pen would be a welcomed addition to any collection, of that I am most sure.

Moore L-96

 

Next up is this very handsome blue Moore L-96 fountain pen.

Manufactured around 1927/8 this pen is a true oversize and was the largest offered by Moore at the time.

 

Measurements are: 5.6” capped, 5.1” uncapped, nearly 7” posted and 0.6” wide at the cap opening.

 

Blue is one of the most uncommon colors in this model and is much more collectible than the more commonly found black pens.

 

The gold filled trim is near perfect and while the imprint shows wear, it is just readable.

The model number L-96 is clearly stamped at the bottom of the barrel.

A new #22 sized sac was recently installed, the pen fills well and is ready to go.

 

This pen has the correct original huge #6 nib which is firm and exceptionally smooth.

It is a fine/medium width with medium flow.

 

This is an excellent example of a fairly rare collectible pen from the “Golden Age”.

The Moore Company made very high quality pens and this one will be a great addition to someone's collection.

Conway Stewart 100 Blue Stardust/Silver Trim Bespoke Pen

 

Next is a very beautiful bespoke (custom order) Conway Stewart 100 in Blue Stardust with Silver trim. Resin is an incredible rich blue with silver dust in it that gives it great depth and works well with the silver trim. Cap band is hallmarked and it has a very smooth italic fine nib.

 

Has not been used other than a quick nib dip to do a writing sample.

 

Comes with presentation boxes, papers.

 

Would cost you about $730 now to get this specific material combo as bespoke order.

Mabie Todd Swan 3320

 

Pen appears black at first glance, but to me it's a very dark, navy blue. Very handsome with gold bands/trim. Lever filler, new sac and very clean pen. Pen is 5-1/8" long capped with Medium #3 nib.

Parker Blue Diamond Jewel Vacumatic Major Azure Blue

 

Beautiful example of these great Parkers. This one looks like a new pen in excellent condition with great barrel clarity, has new diaphragm, a F gold nib, and is 5-1/8" capped.

This handsome pen, is a surprisingly smooth writer that would make a fine daily writer.

Here's the very handsome, stately looking Mabie Todd Swan 3320 in 'Royal Black' but to my eyes looks like a very dark navy blue when I put pen next to black pens....
