I'm considering ordering an item or two, but I don't know these folks. Their website has missing images on some of their listings, and they don't have many postings on FPN.

 

Of course, I don't have many postings yet either, but I just want to make sure I have a bit more comfort level before dealing with an international 'dealer'.

I have taken advantage of their excellent prices on the Delta 365 series and gotten three pens over a three month period. GBA have treated me very professionally. The shipping from GB to me on the East coast has been very quick, something like four or five days. From my experience thus far, I give them a thumbs up and an A+.

 

Nowhere on their online order form could I find a place to indicate the nib size I wanted. I completed their online order, then sent a separate e-mail to request the nib size. In their response to my order, they confirmed both the pen I ordered and nib size. They were very responsive and helpful.

Yep, I bought an Ipsilon FP and BP set from them for less than the price of the FP alone. Excellent service and delivery, too.

GBA Pen Company is a family business and is the official UK distributor of Fisher Space Pen, Delta, Tibaldi and many other brands. It was formerly distributor of Pelikan and Aurora and its founder, the late Reg Pickford, was previously the distributor of Montblanc in the UK. Mr Pickford was also instrumental in the re-birth of Diamine.

 

You should not have any worries about dealing with them.

I ordered two items from the Visconti sale - one of them already arrived, very fast delivery to Germany, good packaging.

 

Their website is a bit quirky in places (it kept wanting to sent things to Andorra , and there were no confirmation emails at all, though it says so in the last order step). Waiting for the second order to be fulfilled ...

 

Some questions regarding my orders that I asked via PM in this forum where not answered, and their website doesn't give any contact email address, just telephone and fax unfortunately. But as long as the orders are fulfilled fast and orderly, I wont complain. And the exchange rate GBP to Euro is irresistible at the moment - I remember times when the GBP was worth nearly 4 times as much as it's now.

I had the same problem with Andorra with a different delivery address, which they said they are aware of.

 

I received an order confirmation email however -- might want to check your spam box. That provided me with an email address (which is on their website, see below) to indicate the potential error. I also sent a PM here over the weekend. Kris replied the same day via PM, and I received an email reply promptly Monday morning as well.

I'm waiting for delivery at the moment.

I had the same problem with Andorra with a different delivery address, which they said they are aware of.

 

It happened as well when I checked "same as invoice address". Everything was copied correctly - with the exception of the country.

I expected the email address under the "Contact" tab, the probability to find it there seemed quite high

In MY CASE it kept wanting to send the pen I ordered to AFGHANISTAN!! :ltcapd:

 

Let's hope they really didn't do that.... the last thing I want is the Taliban using my Delta 366 as a dart or a dagger to do harm to the good guys there! :roflmho:

The mails from GBA did end up in Gmail's spam folder after all - I did a "deeper" search and found them, added the address to my contacts. I got immediate response on a mail to them, so all is well now.

I bought a Visconti Van gogh ocean blue from them last week. I live in Singapore, the site kept saying Canada as country to mail to when I was checking out. No Problem though, I emailed them and they responded very promptly and confirmed that it would be sent to Singapore.

 

Got my pen today, real fast communication, real good price and fast delivery.

I'm very impressed by GBAs service. Ordered (from Sweden) Wednesday afternoon, pen here Friday afternoon. Kind, serviceminded communication. It is a shop I'll return to.

Don't like them. Ordered twice. Twice they told me the didn't have the pen anymore. The pen i tried to order four days ago is still for order on their site although it's out of stock. A webshop that's not up to date is useless.

I'll chime in with a good experience -- I ordered a Talentum during their Aurora sale, got emailed almost immediately that the nib I'd initially chosen was out of stock, picked a different one, and had it here (USA) in less than a week. While the part about the nib may not seem good, it's turned out well for me, since I like the one I did get (medium) more than the one I'd picked (a fine). Possibly the best part was that the cost of the whole thing (even with international shipping and the exchange rate) was only about half the current going price of Talentums. Yum.
