These are new and some very interesting colors, and like a lot of urushi, they are also difficult to photograph well. I'll do my best to describe them. Lay-away plan offered.

1. Shu Mae West: The pen looks red in picture and at first glance, but closer examination shows depth in color with some underline colors showing near and accented with very very fine gold powders. This is a cc filler and currently has flexy F, but other nib grades are possible. $900 delivered within US and $925 international. CC filler

2. Ao Mae West: This with green undertone with hint of blue around the edges, again very difficult to photograph well. $900 US, $925 international by express

These are beautiful pens! I especially like the color of the Ao Mae West. Still, not nearly as lovely as the Shishi! :cloud9:

I agree with placematters, ki-midori is beautiful. Maybe a bit too much green on the grip section, imho.

Lovely pens, winedoc!

Kind regards,

Sounds like a reason to celebrate! ... may I suggest a new pen? :vbg:

Seriously tho, these are all stunning pens! I prefer the Ao Mae West - only because there is no ki-midori Mae...

i love the ki-midori Genkai

i am graduating residency next week.....

Whatever it is, I'm against it!

Kevin, these pens are lovely and very tempting. But - must ... wait ... for ... Dantitrio Fellowship SE.

I hope my comment is a well deserved "bump."

Kevin I will probably be getting a ki-midori Genkai in 2010. I'll take a look at the LA Pen Show 2010 and plan for it to be one of my 2010 pens. I love the shading on the section, very well done.

I will have to start taking notes of all the pens I want to see in person.

Kevin- what is the status of the faceted Yokozuna that you had displayed pictures of a while back?
