All New Take-nuri

This is Danitrio's all new Take-nuri. This is done by maki-e artist, Mr. Omote. It is to mimic the look and feel of bamboo and complete with all the creaveses and knots etc as you would find in real bamboo. So, why not just use real bamboo?? well, what fun is that for a maki-e atist? Plus the surface of real bamboo will darken overtime from sweat and moister from your hand and will trun black. These are really exquisitely done, and very time consuming for the artist. Price is $1500 each delivered within US and $1525 international. Currenly they have stiff M on, but I can put flexy F, M, B. These are cc filler, but can be converted to Western style ED as no metal threads.

Ok, that is very cool. Another pen added to the future purchase list. I like the fresh green better than the dried bamboo color. The artisans at Danitrio hit the bullseye once again. :clap1:

Actully depend on my moods... sometimes I prefer the green and there are times I like the brown... and I am not even a Gemini. LOL.

I thought I would like the brown better after looking at the ad pics but these pics...definately green.

 

What would be cool is to get the Sailor smoked bamboo pen and a pen case that would hold all three; and pull that out at meeting. My co-workers already think I am crazy for using fountain pens.
