This is my much delayed review of Noodlers Dragon's Napalm ink from Jetpens.com.

Does anyone out there have any ideas about the shading of this ink? On some websites it mentions a carmine with sepia? I'm just not seeing anything but red here.....

Thanks Joi! The ink shades beautifully and is a lot more vibrant and bright in real life

My only complaint is its drying time, which is a big issue in my case, as I generally use broad, wet nibs.

When I get my Noodlers flexi I'm going to do another run of ink tests. Main reason it to try out the nib but also to get a current look at the shading of all my inks. I only have Japanese fine and Medium nibs that don't give much shading with this Ink.

I just got a sample of Dragon's Napalm and it doesn't look anything like what I see on the screen here..

When I write with it, all I can think of is fluorescent fruit punch. I use fine pens, which tend not to shade heavily, so I'll leave that for others to discuss.

I agree that the scan here looks brackish, like a burnt orange. That might be because the pen still had minute traces of a darker ink left in the feed. It took me several days and dozens (maybe a hundred) cleaning cycles to get my Dolce Vita clean enough to show off this ink's true character, which is super bright and saturated without a grace of brown.
