I've been looking for the DaniTrio "Sakura-Bijin" pen ever since I saw it in a copy of "Stylus" a couple of months ago. Anyone know where I can find out more information about this beautiful looking pen?

I think you are looking for this one. The pen is made by maki-e master, Mr. Koichiro Okazaki who signs his name as "Kogaku". Here are some photos I took. They do not do this pen justice. Please feel free to contact me for more info.

Hey winedoc, how much does that pen go for, if you don't mind my asking?

 

The retail is $20,000, but I can't post my price here. Only 20 made. #8 was gone the first week it came out.

That is, without question, the most beautiful pen I've ever seen in my life. Thank you for sharing those photos!!! I didn't realize the run was limited to only 20, that's disheartening. My wife was tired of listening to me talk about trying to find one to purchase, hehe :)
