Blue - Jinhao

Some time ago I've received Jinhao cartridges (Black and Blue) together with Jinhao x750 fountain pen. I must say these inks are really well behaved, saturated and rather nice.

I don't think that Jinhao produces their inks, they just label other manufacturer's inks. I lack knowledge to judge which ones? I would be interested to know, so if you happen to possess some knowledge / insight on chinese ink market, I'd love to hear it.

I have never tried their cartridges but it is a solid looking blue.

Rob Maguire (Plse call me "M or Mags" like my friends do...)I use a Tablet, Apple Pencil and a fountain pen. Targas, Sailor, MB, Visconti, Aurora, vintage Parkers, all wonderful.

Not a huge fan of the color, but it seems to shade quite nicely! Does your Kaweco not like to show shading like mine? I'm curious if the ink would shade even better in other pens. Amber will like that Inky so be sure to post it in her ghost thread.

This is one of the well-behaved blues that works well even on poor-quality paper.

As a cartridge ink, it is relatively cheap, costing $7.50 for 25 or $0.30 each, which comes out to $0.40 per ml, or $24 per 60 ml (2 oz) bottle. This is not cheap compared to some inks, but is good value for money compared to others. Compare that to Parker cartridges which range from $0.80 to $1.20 each (yes, I know the Parker cartridges hold more, but not that much more).

I wish it came in bottles...

Unfortunately its Black sibling isn't as well behaved. It feathers and bleeds badly.

On a whim, I grabbed a pack of these cartridges: I had a dollar and 85 cents burning a hole in my PayPal, why not ink? I didn't expect much for the price.

This is quite a nice blue ink: vaguely Jentle-ish, but not quite. Good flow, no feathering, and yes! some sheen as a bonus. Colour me impressed. I too wish it came in bottles, as these "international" cartridges don't fit in any of my pens except my Baoer 519. I had to transplant into another cartridge. It was worth the effort.

Edited for spellins.
