Ink Review: Diamine Flowers Gift Set: Cornflower

Recommended Posts

I'm currently reviewing some of my favourite Diamine inks. This one is from the Flowers Gift Set and is called Cornflower. As Blues are my favourite colours I'm reviewing Blues first

  • Water test on the review form shows this isn't a waterproof ink, but it's water resistant
  • Bearing in mind the paper I use is very smooth, this ink dries fairly quickly.
  • It flows very well and lubricates the nib very well. No start-up problems noticed.
  • It is currently available in the gift set in 30ml glass bottles that are stable and user friendly.
  • It's also now available in 30ml plastic bottles as refills.
  • Diamine sell it directly to end-users on their web-site.

Nice one. I've just tried warm inks from flower set and they were interesting, especially Gerbera.

Gerbera IS interesting... I also really enjoy Carnation... is not your regular pink.

Cornflower... this is not the kind of blue I enjoy... But thanks so much for the review. ;)

Very nice review. I have the flower set, but haven't tried anything but Aster. Will have to give Cornflower a try.

Great review! It's looking very close to Asa Gao?

As mentioned elsewhere - probably my favourite from this set.

Just inked a Pelikan M800 fine nib with this ink. It's a beautiful clear blue, very well-behaved.

I received a sample of this one and I admit, I really like it.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
