Terracotta - Diamine

Thank you Tas for sending me the sample of Terracotta.

I have mixed feelings about Diamine inks - I like them but I find many of them risky (they tend to clog pens, cause nib creep / nib crud). The colors are pretty awesome though.

As many of you already know there are some new Diamine inks on the market. Tas has kindly sent me samples of two of them.

Terracotta is nice but not as nice as I expected it to be. I have some of it ion some cheap pen so I'll check in some time whether it causes any nib creep.

Stay tuned.

Not only love the ink, but I want a lipstick this color.

Mix it with shea butte... :-)

Thanks Vis - I like the ghost!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I have this ink on order as we speak. If the color I get is like yours, I will be very pleased as that is just what I am looking for, a nice clay colored red/brown ink. Very nice review.

I enjoy MB 146 pens, Sailor, Pilot and Platinum pens as well. I have a strong attraction to dark red and muted green ink, colors I dislike for everything but FP ink. I also enjoy practicing my handwriting and attempting to improve it. I love the feel of quality paper under a gold nib.

Excellent review. Plan on ordering this ink next round. Thanks, Vis, for introducing me to another fine ink. Is there a terra-cotta ink you would recommend instead of this one?

Well, the one I enjoy a lot is Maruzen Renga but it's difficult to get and expensive. The same goes for Nagasawa-kobe 39. I think that when we look at widely available inks Terracota and Franklin-Christoph Terra Firma may be considered decent choices :)
