Pilot Vp Shooting Ink!

Recommended Posts

I just got a beautiful Pilot VP from Mr. Binder. It writes excellently. However, I've found that when I deploy the nib, ink is shot out from it.

The nib comes out, you hear a "click," and then when you release the button, and the nib snaps back slightly into its locked position, a few globes of ink come flying out.

It this a common problem?

Thanks!

uhhh you using a converter or cartridge? if your using the cartridge use the cartridge cap it should come as a package else you end up squeezing the cartridge which in turn squeezes the ink when activating the mechanism, this should also apply to a "dubbed" cleaning converter which i think is called the con-10

Which ink are you using? Is it possible that it is flowing too freely? Put some heavy lighting on the paper and see if it is forming droplets of ink when writing, as in too wet. But since you bought it from a nibmeister, he will probably assist you.
