I inked up my test pens last night. Haven't done the test sheets yet; I'll pro'ly get around to that this afternoon or evening. But I did write a half-page in my journal with it, and holy **** (fill in your own Anglo-Saxonism), but I like this ink! I don't know if it was the lighting, but it went down very green, but dried to the same blue as in the scans above.

Wow what an ink. What a saturation what a shading...

I thought before I do a review let's test the susemais in a different way...

I am a lousy artist.... no talent what soever... I printed a coulouring plate for adults... a Van Gogh picture...

This blue is awesome and vibrant.... spilled some onnmy fingers.... i guess I have to amputate them..

This colour sticks like flies to faeces.... My advise DILLUTE and clean your pen regularly...

But What an Awesome colour!!!!

Will post my picture later

Yes must buy this stuff

In the 20th century people got tricked by communism

Today people get tricked by (neo)capitalism :)

I'll add to the previous reviews. I used a Noodler's Ahab with a flex nib. I like this ink quite a bit for the nice bright colors and the shading. At least while the ink was still wet I am fairly sure I could see 3 separate shades of blue. Though as it dried the contrast lessened.

There are 2 lines in this scan. The first is the ink at the 16% dilution as I received the ink to test. The second line is diluted 1:1 with water. There isn't a lot of change in color that I could see.

even a bit of sheen I think

The real downside for this ink is that unless you are using fairly high end paper; Rhodia Dot Pad, Fabriano Misto (85 g/m2), there is a LOT of bleed through. The ink is just plain wet. This is from a Staples Composition book, made in Brazil. Generally a fairly reasonable book to use. The top part is the back of a sheet using 16% and the bottom of the sheet is diluted 1:1. It also left a couple of ink spots 2 pages down.

At the bottom is the reverse of the Rhodia Dot Pad. So on the higher quality paper you can see show through, but I wasn't getting bleed through

One of the easiest way to tell these inks that I sent you apart, is that Susemai inks are wet writers (hooray), the Toucan inks are dry.

Amber.. click on my post (Blue Diamond review)... and click again on it to zoom in... You can clearly see the purple outline everywhere... (Looked at the "i" in the title Blue Diamond")... and that was a scan... not a pic.

It is pretty amazing.
