Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Given how the "Bank Paper" performed for me, I expected that Amber's broader nib would perform like a firehose on J. Herbin blotting paper.... yet the dryness of the Lamy with this ink completely avoided it... very interesting result....

That is strange. The only PR ink that has been a hard starter for me is Sepia, and I have at least 8. BUT if you leave them in the pen for a week without using them they are generally worse to get going again than other inks. I think it's the high saturation. Sometimes I wonder how much climate changes ink behavior. My pen and inks write pretty different in our humid summers verses our cold winters. Humidity especially changes things and not just drying times. At least for me it does.

That matches my experience.
