I don't want to spoil the fun but the style of the clip and the clip screw on top of the cap suggest that it is not a Parker 61 pen. Maybe even not a Parker pen at all.

But a better picture would be helpful.

yes, there are some similarities

Yes, I see the similarities although the clip as well as the clip screw do not look like typical Parker 61. Possibly, it is not a factory made pen but handmade by a jeweller.

20 euro is a bargain for any 18K gold pen but if it is a P61 Presidential indeed, it is treasure find. So I look forward to see more pictures or hear more about the exact imprints on the pen.

The relative proportions look more like a 17 Lady than a 61 to me. A 17 in that sort of trim would be VERY INTERESTING anyway, so I wouldn't think it's money wasted-- Joris has the right notion on this one.

It's a customised pen made by a jeweller, it was a popular practice to use the 61 sections for customised 18K bodies but they shouldn't be confused for Presidentials which is the name given to the solid gold pens either made or commissioned by Parker. The photo on the Parker collectors website is a little misleading and I don't believe those top two pens were made by Parker but $20 is an absolute bargain no matter who made it!! Sumgai!!

I always think with customised gold pens that it's a good idea to have them properly checked for gold content before attempting to value. The 18K mark is an indicator but not a legal hallmark, I've had pens that were marked .750 and were clearly overlays over brass. I've seen similar pens sell between $600-1200 the seller of the $1200 pen had to hold out quite a while to get his price.

Good to see that you found relevant background info on this particular pen.

Whatever the exact value, it appears to be a great find!

Congratulations!

Excellent information, a quick google search of Carioquinha throws up quite a few images of the pens made by Celestino Praça, it's good to put a name to his work, it seems he favoured the Parker 61 and 51 to use as the basis for his beautiful creations.
