From FPGeeks, 2 SF Pen Posse meetups in March.

Pen Posse Ethics Edition March 9th

A short notice Pen Posse to discuss ethics in the internet age. http://fpgeeks.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.png It's also an excuse to talk pens and get food at Cafe Salina. This Posse might get a bit coffee centric.

Note: this will be at Cafe Salina so I can have Hong Kong comfort food and it starts a bit earlier.

Sunday March 9th 12:30 pm.

Pen Posse Post PPPC Meeting March 16th

Since the PPPC is on March 15th, I figure we'll have another Pen Posse the day after for pen overload. I think we will have more SF Pen Show discussions at this one.

This one is back to our normal place and time.

Sunday March 16th 1:00pm

Peter's Cafe
10 El Camino Real
Millbrae, CA 94030

Is the REAL Altecgreen up to something?

When the cat's away, the mice will play. Let me therefore put my imagination to work: The call for a discussion of ethics in the digital age suggests that AltecGreen has had a bad experience online. With his opinions firmly in mind, I'd speculate that he was on eBay and had his heart absolutely set on winning a Lamy Safari in charcoal with a 1.1 nib, at a sumgai price. Then he lost out to a snipe and is almost inconsolable.

As the moderator of the Lamy forum, FarmBoy is in a good position to know just how plausible this is.

I urge others to take advantage of AltecGreen's absence to put their own imaginations to work.

I have a new theory. Ricky-the REAL one-has (re)discovered SPAM and he will be ordering it on Sunday.

I have also sent the entity pretending to be Ricky on a Safari.

If some people keep mentioning Stipula nibs, we will soon have a note from the mods urging us to refrain from bashing any particular brand's nibs. Not to mention the possibility of a long-running thread called Prejudice Against Stipula??? If not Prejudice Against Compatriots of Dante and Sophia Loren??? I hesitate to urge self-censorship. Maybe if people stopped trying to write with certain pens we could all get along.

Maybe Stipula nibs get bashed more than most because Stipula nibs get bashed more than most?

But who is literally bashing the S--- nibs? Operatives of Japan's super-secret paramilitary Calamus Force, who are able to open the factory-sealed package, bash the nib, reseal the package, and escape without anyone's being the wiser? Except maybe the aggrieved purchaser and FarmBoy? Do you think Calamus Force is why we hear so much about Italian QC and not so much about Platinum nibs being hopeless OOTB ?

I think your CLICK HERE does not mean what you think it means.

I'm fairly certain he meant CLUCK HERE and, thus, we are.

I do have five Stipulas which look quite similar to fountain pens but obviously are not since form follows function...which they don't. I'll bring them along.

Wouldn't lint be fragmented thread? Try giving up fractals instead.

But I love fractals! Fractional geometry was a fun way to snap brains in college!
