Bung Box Sunset

I've written a lot of reviews recently, and because of that I feel ill inclined to spend too much time talking about the inks i didn't love. So, I will leave you with this review and just say that although I don't love this ink, it does perform well. It is dry, but that's okay for someone who doesn't mind it, and it is reflected in the awesome dry time.

 

Personally, I don't really like this ink colour.

I'm really not fond of these kinda... orangey-browns almost, either. It reminds me a bit of Noodler's Antietam, which is also very well behaved and which I just couldn't love despite that.

I hate orangey brown, and although this is less brown than most of the typical offenders, it still rang my irritated alarm bells. I am going to try adding some Herbin 1670 to it and see what happens.

Yeah, it's certainly less brown than some. But still... it's kinda like.. watery ketchup.

The color reminds me of the late, great Sailor RedBrown.

Yeah, I think "sunset" may be a bit of a misnomer. But it is an interesting combo of red, orange, and brown. I'm not an orange inkophile, and I don't think I have any orange inks (save Diamine Ancient Copper) in my stash, but I think what I appreciate about this one is that it is slightly muted.
