Callifolio Gris De Payne

A diversion away from my normal Sailor inks and back on track with some Callifolio reviews. I've got 34 of these colours and I don't think I've done even 10 reviews. <sigh>

Although I was less than thrilled with this ink, that doesn't mean it's not a good ink. It's well behaved and even has a bit of sheen.

On some papers is looks nice, but on others it looks kind of faded and washed out.

The shading is sometimes quite nice and other times incredibly boring.

It is a fine ink, but at this point in my ink collecting, I'm looking for a lot more than fine!

The ink looks to perform a little better as to overall appearance on the TR paper.

Rob Maguire (Plse call me "M or Mags" like my friends do...)I use a Tablet, Apple Pencil and a fountain pen. Targas, Sailor, MB, Visconti, Aurora, vintage Parkers, all wonderful.

I find this ink boring, Here are some of my scans for polish FP forum, where I have tons of reviews (but only in polish language):

Ooo, I really like it!
Thanks for posting.

I was planning on buying some ages ago but totally forgot.

If it's anything like visvamitra's scan then It reminds me of my recent purchase of Organics Studio Blue Merle which I totally love:

My order of Organics Blue Merle arrived yesterday. Wow.

A beautifully behaved ink that's an absolute joy to use, reminiscent of times past but somehow really modern at the same time.

I, love it!

Tyler, thanks for pulling out the stops for me (and for the bonus RRB)

A quick sketch of my withering money plant but more to come.

I've really fallen for this colour and am keen to write up my first review - just not sure exactly how yet.

Organics Blue Merle
Wahl - gold thing (no idea what it is) with an equally mysterious flexible but beguiling Eversharp nib.
I bought it from ebay and found out that it belonged to the seller's late father. He used it for "special" letters but she had no use for it. :(
