New word: Enjoyed

Montblanc Black is an ink I've really enjoyed in my MB 244G extra-fine. Such a lovely combination, black lines, flexy nib, excellent flow. I wonder with which ink I'll replace it when I run out of the old MB Black, from the old shoe bottle.

New word: replacement

journaling / tinkering with pens / sailing / photography / software development

New word: replacement

replacement = Noodler's El Lawrence (which at the moment appears to have replaced Kung Te Cheng as my go-to permanent ink.

New word/phrase (in honor of the Winter Olympics, which I've been watching a lot of this week): ski jumping

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Noodler's Polar Blue - sounds like a good ink for cold weather, and winter is a little bluish.

Anticlimactic: Iroshizuku Fuyu-gaki. It came so highly recommended, and I had such high expectations, that when I finally tried it... I was a little disappointed. It is a lovely colour and lovely ink, just a little too built up in my mind at the time.

Parrot: Diamine Kelly Green has always reminded me of the vivid greens on rainbow lorikeets.

New word: Affection

Affection - Pelikan Edelstein Amber - because it's warm and cuddly and I always think affectionately about the person who bought it for me.

New Word: Pettifoggery --- this word was recently used in a judicial decision. It's a great word and we need to bring it back into the lexicon of daily use words.
