Hello Parker Fans,

 

I think I am becoming more attracted to them as well. I have primarily collected German Piston Filler pens for two years now but last fall I found a 1946 blue Parker Vac at a antique store for $12.00. I sent it off to Danny Fudge as suggested here. He did a fantastic job and it has become one of my daily writers.

 

I recently came across an ad on craigslist and well, I was able to pick up a few more Parkers, a Sheaffer, Wahl, and Conklin. As previously mentioned, I am a "newbie" to Parkers but I see these going off to Mr. Fudge to be put back in working order. Actually, the brown one pulls in and expels water but I guess I sould have it redone too to be safe.

 

I notice the green one is larger...is this considered an "oversized" pen? Any other information or advice would be helpful. There was also a box set I will take pics of tomorrow. I am not sure what it is other than a Parker.

congrats, nice haul. the green set does seem to be an OS, given its girth. the brown set is a 40s junior. plus i spot a sheaffer tuckaway beside the pencils.

 

to be very sure, check that the capped length of the green pen is about 5-3/8". that will make it an OS; if 5", then it's a standard. the many-feathered nib, however, does support an OS.

 

danny should do a good job on these--he's done a couple dozen of my vacs over the past few years.

Here is the set that was in the Lot that I mentioned above. Any ideas on the Model of this set?

 

Oh, I forgot the best part ....I was able to pick up all of these pens and pencils for $60.00. I guess that is not too bad?
