Deccan Masterpiece White With Kim & Co Clipless

My Deccan Masterpiece white has become my daily user since its purchase 4 months back. Excellent writer and eventhough oversized is suprisingly well balanced when not posted (and that is the way I normally write) and its section is one of the most comfortable I have ever used. Besides the Great white is the Kim & Co black giant clipless. Kim & Co is an old pen maker from Kozhikode (Calicut)Kearla who still manufactures FP's from ebonite in their workshop. It is an eyedropper and I have not yet inked it to opine on how well it writes.

Very pretty pens, both!

I am on a mission to collect as many Indian ebonite pens possible (helped greatly by Hari!) - the Kim & Co pen is one more I need to try to find.

True bliss: knowing that the guy next to you is suffering more than you are.

Thanks for that link. I'll try to contact them when I am back at the end of this week. Those are really nice pens!

Do you source those big nibs locally? The bigger nib that you've put on has really made the difference with the large pen. Do you know how it compares to the JoWo #6? I have a few of those on the way, as I am converting some of my Rangas into CC.

The #6 measures 35mm, the jumbo nib measures 40mm and has a much wider shoulder.

The jumbo nib is the same in dimension to the 149's nib.

Oh, that's quite large. I think that is the size I got from you, to be sent to Ranga, right?

I've got some of the JoWos for the Ranga bamboos - now I am on a mission to find some jumbo nibs with converter feeds to convert the Gajendras to CC (and also get a couple of large ebonites from Kim and Ratnam). Any ideas?

see if you can modify the #6 housing to accept the 40mm nib. I have no other ideas. I think we have derailed pbhat's thread!
