During the recent visit to the Deccan pen stores in Hyderabad with my friend Jai, Mr. Wasim proudly showed me their new creation, a Deccan Masterpiece made in a deep greenish blue colour. My camera is unable to capture the true colour of the pen and shows it as blue. This pen is identical in shape and size to Jai's White Masterpiece. The pen shares the same 35mm nib and the long squeeze filler. The material is some type of plastic. The pictures:

Wonderful pictures, Hari...lovely looking pen, isnt it? As you said, the colour of the pen looks different in photos...it looks totally blue here...I wish it were an ED filler...squeeze filler is neither here nor there for me...but what to do, the last 2 FPs from Deccan are squeeze fillers...btw, how does it write? Have you inked it yet?

Jai, Thanks! You have seen the pen, the color is much more beautiful in person. Maybe I should try daylight photography, but I know my camera has a problem capturing green and violet. Not inked it yet, I expect it to write as well as the Advocate after all it is the same nib. Too many pens in the queue for inking and I am not sure I want to carry the green monster to work, yet...

Great looking pen Hari, lovely colour. I hope they also come up with an orange coloured one as well! By the way the white Masterpiece I picked up in May '12 came with a two toned nib, otherwise similar.

Yes deccan does have a stock of the two tone nibs, the nibs are medium tipped on the two tone ones, IIRC.

I'd like to buy one myself, but I'm from Europe (Romania) and I couldn't find it online, not in this color anyway. Could you give me a hand please? Any kind of information would be great..

Hi Roxana. I bought this pen directly across the counter from the Deccan pen stores in Hyderabad. They had only one pen available in this color which I bought. If I ever find that they have made this color pen again I will buy one for you. Deccan pens do a lot of experimentation and make pens in very small numbers, so availability is always a problem, even for me. Jai is lucky in this regard.

Can you tell me what material is used for the black part of the pen ie. section, part of cap and barrel and also what material is used for the feed.

Thanks for the pics ... I too am always interested don't all the pens usually made as eyedroppers?

 

I have acquired my first pen from India but haven't inked her up yet ...
