Hero 284, Hero 232 and archive ink

Hello,

I'm new on the forum.

Does somebody know the stability and resistance of Hero 232 blue-black and Hero 284 black? I'm searching for a common use ink but minimally durable.

I also need archival ink for special use: check, wills and paper I sign as Commissary for Oath. For what I read, I think going for Noodler's bulletproof. Seem cheaper then buying other Uni-Ball signo 207.

I have Hero 232 and it's a great ink. From what I can tell, it's stable once dried and doesn't fade away in normal fluorescent lighting. I don't know about its UV resistance, though. It isn't waterproof, but a good amount will remain on wet paper so you can read what you wrote. It's dirt cheap, too. I wish I could secure a good 5 bottle supply.

Noodler's Bulletproof Black is one of the finest inks ever made. Dilute it 20% with distilled water and it will never fail you.

I now only use noodler black, bad belted kingfisher and blue ghost.

Bulletproof black is certainly long lasting and robust, but I'm hesitant to call it archival because different people have different definitions for "archival".

I've had good luck with Hero 232 blue/black, which I found cheap in NYC's Chinatown. On some paper, it doesn't budge whatsoever when soaked. I'm going to make sure to score a couple more bottles the next time I'm back in NY.

Among the basic black inks, I agree that Noodler's Bulletproof Black should do the trip. Private Reserve Invincible Black is another option.
