That's lovely. Is it steel or sterling, or maybe platinum plating? Just curious...

The pen is made in silver with a fine barleycorn pattern on it.

Finally got a new pen after a while :D

Got this little project pen a few days ago. Lots of bad repair which was done previously before I got it and at least a wrong non-MB clip.

Cap lip was already exchanged in the past but not done nicely. Also one of the silver rings is not originally and has slightly off dimensions.

What bothers me the most is that the barrel end behind the ink window was already replaced with a hard rubber binde which is too short and also does not polish well  .

Not sure about the small 235 nib but maybe that's what came on the pen originally during wartime.

But at least some potential I hope as I plan on having it restored

Cheers

Very nice. Would love to see pictures once it is restored.

Hmmmmm- silver rings, triple-telescoping filling mechanism, steel nib, long ink window, could it be a war time 139?

Beautiful pen Michael. Looking forward to seeing the pics after the restoration

Many thanks for the comments.

Yes I'd say war time.

Repair looks like it was done many years ago during GDR times to keep the pens running.

The pen will inspected by an expert soon so I hope it will return to original glory

Cheers

Bought from Dennis at Couronne du comte. That is a man who knows how to look after his customers

This is a heavy pen. It feels much more substantial than your average Classique. The guilloche barrel and cap look spectacular, nicely contrasted by the mop star and rose gold trimmings. The BB nib seems to write slightly broader than others I have but it is still an excellent pen. I am happy :)
