Readymade

Recommended Posts

Featured on this pen-lover's blog - http://taka215.blog63.fc2.com/blog-entry-297.html

An extremely limited edition launched in 2005 - only 25 pieces. By Yoshida Kyusai (of course). Made to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the original Dunhill-Namiki collaboration beginning 1930.

For those wondering, the listed cost of the pen was 90 million Yen, though the blogger also notes that the pen was already commanding prices up to 120 million Yen before its launch @_@

Stunning pen. I can't read the blog (but how I wish I could!)

Somewhere else I read that this pen celebrates the Dunhill-Namiki

partnership: Sakura=Japan/Namiki, Roses=England/Dunhill.

I also read that around the area where the Namiki

maki-e artists work, English Roses have been planted for the

same reason. Cool.

Whatever it is, I'm against it!

That's one pretty pen puddle.gif

Need a pen repaired or a nib re-ground? I'd love to help you out.

Surely not? That's $1 million for a pen...

Someone paid just under US$50k for one last year at Bonham's -click here.

I wonder what original MSRP was? I'm guessing it was close to the Bonham's price.

I was told that original retail price was $75,000 I am not 100% sure though.

Also the CEO at Airline Internation told me he managed to sell such pen for $100,000 just before the crises started!
