Japanese Nibs used on other Manufacturer's Fountain Pens

The three major producers of Fountain Pens in Japan, Sailor, Pilot and Platinum occasionally produced nibs for other external manufacturers. As I'm currently interested in investigating and possibly procuring a pen created outside Japan, while still having the reliability, quality control, and fine nib widths synonmous with the Japanese Pens. He is a list of compiled manfucturers and models that used Japanese Nibs, if you can extrapolate and expand these details, where appropriate it would be appreciated and helpful.

Nakaya (Platinum)

Hakase (Pilot)

Cross (Pilot) - Signature, Townsend, Solo

Dunhill (Pilot)

Masahiro (Pilot)

Classic Pens

Danitrio

Ohto

Tsuge

Also I've noticed a couple of small independent Japanese artisans, who turn and assemble their own fountain pens use a plain nib marked " Superior 14K Lifetime Gratify Japan". Does anyone know who manufactures these nibs?

Thanks Hari as always.

Here is the picture of the forementioned unbranded Japanese nib.

I've seen this nib used by two independent Japanese Fountain pen makers, one advertised by Engeika here and the other sold on the Pen-Life website here. If anyone has information on who manufactures the nib it would be helpful.

Yes, the old stainless steel versions were manufactured by Pilot, while the gold nibs were created by Pelikan. Nowadays Cross have decided to move their manufacturing over to China and sadly I've found the quality control has dropped noticeably.

List so far.......

Nakaya (Platinum)

Hakase (Pilot)

Cross (Pilot) - Signature, Townsend, Solo, Verve

Dunhill (Pilot / Namiki)

Masahiro (Pilot)

Tsuge (Pilot)

Shaeffer (Sailor)

Classic Pens (Bock)

Danitrio (Bock)

Ohto (Bock)

Also found out that Tachikawa and Zebra produce their own nibs for their fountain, artist and dip pen range.

Cross Verve -> Pilot nibs

Danitrio & Classic Pens -> Bock nibs

He may have been thinking of the Classic CP series, which used the nibs from the pens that the model was based on. In that case, the CP-7 was a Sailor based pen. Otherwise, Bock.

I thought that Hakase used German nibs, either Bock or Schmidt. Hakase is the company that makes celluloid pens, right?

Not only celluloid, also wood and buffalo horn. Their catalogue is available on my website, I don't know any Japanese so I do not know if it contains any special information concerning the nibs. I do know that their size are #15 and #10. Ruud

Woops, I was confusing Hakase with Kato Seisakusho. They have some with German nibs and some with Japanese nibs, so they might belong on the list, too. I'm not sure who makes their Japanese nibs, though.. It looks like they're one of the companies nemesiz linked to with the nib picture.
