Seven inks, five pens

Not sure where the best spot for this post is, but now it's here. :D A not-so-random sampling of inks and pens. Note that the Sailor medium nib is not significantly different from Waterman or Pelikan fine points. (The Pelikan actually lays down a slightly wider line.) The Lamy fine is maybe a hair narrower than the rest. This sample was written on 60 lb Levenger notepad paper. PR Dakota Red is about the purest saturated bright red available. In a free-flowing Pelikan nib, PR American Blue can be very dark. (Compare to the Lamy Safari line.)

Cheers.

Very colorful, chemgeek! Thanks for this demo.

Pel nibs are known to run a tad wider than the norm. Lamy nibs run very wide in the 2000 line; the Safari, it seems, runs narrow. I didn't know that. Interesting.

Very good idea! B) Thank you, Chemgeek!

Viseguy: Lamy Safari nibs in EF and F are on the narrow side, while Lamy Safari nibs in M and B are on the wide side. The step between M and F is a big step. The B, M and F are all very smooth, an interesting combination with their frugal ink flow (a combination I appreciate and enjoy).
