Some Informal Comparison charts

Dudley

Recommended Posts

well, what we have here are some informal ink charts, basically its where i test my inks usually. The first one, we have in the back of my notebook for class. I wonder what do people think when they barrow the notebook... And the second one is a little neater, and is in the back of my Pocket Moleskine Cahier scrapbook.

Suprisingly, though the moleskine paper is super think and is sort of transparent, there is no bleed thru with any of the inks (pilot petit1 inks are the most prone ever). The other notebook is a japanese notebook and there is slight bleedthru with the green.

How do you like those Pilot Petit1 pens? I know that the pens are of different colors, but does each different color pen have that color ink in it? I see that they're available for cheap online but I'm not sure about the availability of the cartridges, which appear to be proprietary.

The Petit1s are fun to write with. They never skipped on me, and the colors are vibrant. The only issue with the ink is that sometimes it bleeds. Also it is difficult for many to write without posting the cap, and the cap don't stay firmly posted, so that is a big annoyance with these guys. Hope that helps.

Okay, thanks. Can you tell me how long the pen itself is without the cap posted? I have a small hand and can handle some pretty small pens easily. I routinely use a Kaweco Sport without posting it. So maybe I could use one of these without posting if it's long enough.

Thanks, Dudley. I enjoy it when people show their doodles because I don't have that skill.
