Sailor Black

My first review and it's black ink. Nothing amazing to look at...since it's black. But i've included a sexy picture of the bottle. That counts for something right? :roflmho:

Hey, great review. Looks like a great ink.

Where did you get it from? Sailor ink doesn't appear to be very common (at least I haven't seen much of it).

Also, would you mind doing a water test with some text instead of a cute sheep? Hehe, I thought it might illustrate better how much damage water will do to text (a before & after shot would be cool too).

I'm sure everyone demands more photos of different angles of that ink bottle too! :P

More Pictures later, as you suggested. The ink is pretty expensive, but luckily i got a good deal from Jim Sanders (i think that's his name). you can email him to check if he has some more in stock at poohcornerpens [at] aol [dot] com.

Where did you get it from?

I bought a bottle of the Sailor Blue Black last week at Avalon. I imagine they have Black, too.

I love the Sailor ink bottle! So classy and modern at the same time :)

My Sailor black shows a tiny bit of greyness to it though :( Maybe my pen I use it on is a bit dry?

Okay water tests, I would post some pictures of the bottle but i lent it out to a freind. I too notice that there is some greyness to the edges of the letters, but its not that much, but certainly i tried it with a drier nib and it was a bit greyer.

And for those who's wondering about the blueish green streaks.,.. its because i was filling another pen with Caran d'Ache Turquiose green, and this happened....

Hi,

In my book, Sailor black wins for smooth, good, blackness. :)

Nice ink, not to mention that I don't ordinarily use black ink.
