A Smug Dill

150 opened bottles of inks now have no place in my (wife's work-from-home) desk's main storage space, which is absolutely chockers, so most of these now live inside clear, stackable Daiso plastic storage boxes under the spare bed in the same room.

Then there are also the 25 Diamine Inkvent Red Edition inks, although technically I can squeeze this into one of the desk's shallow drawers:

All boxed up (except for the bottles shown at the bottom of the image), they are quite compact:

Perhaps a desk with storage above in addition to below would be a better use of the footprint?

And an analysis of why one needs a spare bed at all. If someone MUST stay in an emergency - there's the sofa - and then they won't be tempted to stay very long...

Seriously, when you have a small place in which to live you would surely meet your own needs first. Social niceties are for those with space to spare. That spare room of yours, forgive me for guessing, wouldn't it better serve you both with two spacious desks and wall storage to the rafters! And/or the closet in there, a study doesn't need storage for clothing - remove the rack and install shelves top to bottom (I can provide a pic of ours!).

Incredible but glad I’m a way that you take your hobby seriously, something many ought to do. Congratulations, mind boggling collection but great nevertheless!
