Example of broken inline gallery image

Editing the description of a previously uploaded image in an album causes its URL to be regenerated (and changed!), which then breaks all the posts in which the image was already used or linked. So, after editing an uploaded image, one needs to revisit all those posts and edit them, replacing and reinserting the embedded images and links in the usual manner, so that the new URL will be used instead.
