Thanks for the great image! I found this in a search, trying to decide between Herbin Cacao and R&K Sepia.

Thanks for posting the image, ASD.  I I've tried some of those and particularly like Smoky Quartz and Yama-guri.  And another thread made me curious about Cacao du Brésil.

Lie de Thé didn't wow me (it was an early "light brown" for me).  I'm clearly going to have to get samples of IG Aztec Gold and the Khaki Black to try them out now (I particular want to do a side by side between Aztec gold and IG Mandarin -- the only "orange" ink I could ever stomach besides Diamine Terracotta; and I've really liked a couple of the other Platinum Classic colors -- Forest Black and Lavender Black).

No problem at all.

I posted this comparison back in July, and was originally planning on doing more in this format, but I lost interest because I thought the way it was done doesn't match my use cases (although the comparison came in handy for something shortly afterwards), and I didn't think it was very searchable without my starting new threads for such. I'm pretty happy that the FPN image gallery post-upgrade actually gets indexed by Web search engines, and the image content much more findable if I bother to write something even remotely sensible in the individual image's caption, description and/or other metadata.

Hopefully more forum members will start filling out their gallery images' metadata meaningfully, instead of only using the gallery as a dumping ground or generic ‘cloud’ storage for images they want to insert into their posts topically (in the only way the old Upload facility on FPN had worked).
