Well hello, I am glad you asked the two colored ones are thin wooden ones I purchased from aliexpress. You can choose unfinished and some stores offer finished holders, if you search long enough there tons of choices for craft mediums these are ready to clip together pretty sturdy.....i took a bunch colored markers and colored before final assembly. I started collecting gel pens after an auto accident almost a year ago, this progressed into ballpoint pens and finally Foutain pens.......i now have about 100 F.P. and well over 1,000 B.P. , roller, etc, gel, markers, a couple dip and caligraphy pens. I have a dozen parker jotters about 20 Parker 21,41,45,and of course my fav 51's. Even vintage scheaffers. but i'm easing off on buying and focusing on storage display and transportation....Let me tell you storage/display is a whole new thing.
