Mercian

This is a picture that shows - and explains - the sizes and grind-styles of the various nibs that were made by Pelikan during the 1930s and 1940s.

Many of these nib types were still being produced by Pelikan in the 1950s.

Pens are no longer produced with nibs in this many sizes/grinds by any major manufacturer.

An example of the ‘benign hand’ of ‘Market Forces’ in action.
