This is the original cartridge that comes with the pen. It's a mineral oil that supposedly keeps the brush fresh and well... oiled. I am a bit surprised that even the cartridge is this high quality - the ball bearing when I move it up and down... sounds so pleasing. Why aren't fountain pen cartridges like this? I am keeping this for use in my Platinum FPs.
