HongDian 1843 F nib vs 6016 EF nib writing in Noodler's #41 Brown

Some fountain pen hobbyists apparently/openly believe that finer nibs write more dryly as a matter of course. The reality is not so.

An EF nib, and/or one that demonstrably puts down finer lines of ink, can write more wetly — i.e. deposit more ink by volume per unit area of the page covered/coloured by said ink, and/or by unit time of physical contact between nib tipping and paper surface — than an F or otherwise broader nib.

You can tell, in this photo, by the colour/intensity of the writing that the EF nib in the bottle half of the page writes more wetly, using (a shared converter-fill of) the same ink, on the same page, in the same writing session using the same handwriting technique(s).
