carola Posted December 8, 2020 I like how casually you write Kurrent. I can read it fairly well, but I lack a lot of practice when writing it. Maybe I should start practicing again... Link to comment
JulieParadise Posted December 8, 2020 Hehe, writing it is definitely easier than reading ... I cannot read back well what I wrote, but in a way I don't care, as for me it is more important to "write stuff (anger, unpleasant memories, ...) out than reading about it later. -- For the ink musings it also provides a nice "pattern" of text, I do not think it is important to be really legible; it is more a decorum. 😉 Link to comment
carola Posted December 8, 2020 😆 Well, I can read your entire poem. I´ve grown up with shopping lists from my great-grandmother written in Kurrent. Had to be able to read them before I even entered school. I learned by tugging old women's sleeves in the shop, asking them to read out my shopping list to me. Over time, I learned what "milk" looked like, or "bread" and so on, and from there I learned to read everything else. Never learned how to write it casually, though. Link to comment
