A Smug Dill Posted December 8, 2020 Regarding embedding a gallery image in a forum post by linking, I think all you need to is find/copy the URL for the instance of the image already uploaded, e.g. https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/gallery/image/1578-2020-10-28-31cos-a-sailor-manyo-shirakashi-2jpg/ for this particular image, and then paste it into the post editor; it automatically embeds the image inline (after a few seconds) by default, instead of displaying it as a link/URL. To do the latter, as I did above, I have to tell the editor expressly to insert it as a link instead of an inline image in the comment (as I would for a forum post). Link to comment
JulieParadise Posted December 8, 2020 Ah, maybe that was my fault ... I tried to add it via the "other media"-button, but the pop-up window would not take my link and ... do anything with it. Thank you! There will be a way and I will find it, but, again thank you for explaining! BTW: Glad to see you back here, too, as FPG is a weird place with people I do not really get ... A Smug Dill Posted December 8, 2020 Thanks for your suggestion of using the Other Media button; I can now see that's exactly how it's intended to be done. Click the Other Media button. Select ‘Insert existing attachment’. Select ‘Gallery Images’ on the left. Click to select one or more images. Click on the ‘Insert n selected’ button on the bottom right corner. Link to comment
