Seyes Rules for Notepads and Paper - Version 1.0

1 Screenshot

About This File

Here you will find three different formats for the original French Seyes-based rules system for the creation of Seyes ruled paper or notepads. This system was used in France in order to help children learn to write the different characters in the right proportions.

The three formats available are .pdf, MSWord .doc format, and MSWord .dot template format.

These files were created by the original founder of FPN.

I've been printing my own paper with this for handwriting practice. Even with my inkjet 24lb paper I can print on both sides and write with nearly no showthrough.

I can see a significant improvement in my handwriting due to the aid the lines provide for keeping the right proportions. And my budget is happier, not having to find the Clairefontaine papers with this type of rule.

Thanks so much for providing this. :D

Very good! I use both the pdf and the doc files and they are just very good. My daughter loves sing the same paper I used to have in school. Thank you for making it available to us.

This is really great! I've printed it on 80gsm copy paper and it works well; there is some bleeding with bold nibs, however none with fine nibs.

Thank you! I've always wanted Clairefontaine notebooks with different line colors--I can now print my own in any shade to best contrast the ink I decide to use :-)

Although the bold lines printed clearly, the other lines were so faint as to be almost unreadable. The printer works fine for other documents, so it appears to be this file.

Link works fine BUT you have to register & login to download. Not 100% clear but fair enough. Thanks for the template!

Downloaded the .doc and .pdf files. Pdf worked, but .doc did not work with Open Office Writer

Me complaining again. I think by rules you mean the ruling on the paper as opposed to the actual handwriting rules for Seyes paper.

I downloaded both the pdf and document file. I converted the later to LibreOffice Writer. I adjusted the margins without a problem also. Thank you so much for providing this.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I recently became engrossed with French cursive and I can't wait to print this for practice.
