Fpn Pen - Mock-Ups

Dearest members of the Board :D,

As promised, here are a few mock-ups of the possibilities, which were all created by our great genius in this regard, the Lord of MT, Ruaidhrí of course, with the exception of the two which don't really correspond to the rest of the series in image quality :D. Just in case: yes, we are in negotiation with Stipula in Florence, Italy...

Stipula Passaporto in Azurite Resin, chrome trim and gold coloured trim:

Stipula Modello T in Azurite Resin. From left to right: posted with metal section, posted with full azurite section and palladium trim, posted with full azurite section and gold trim, closed with palladium trim and closed gold coloured trim, the latter two with an Azurite clip jewel.

Stipula Etruria, from left to right posted and closed pairs, first in Azurite Resin, silver (14 K nib) and gold trim (18K duotone), followed by blue celluloid, silver trim (14K nib) and gold trim (18K nib) again.

Just watch this space, as we will announce soon when the poll will be up for the next (series of) FPN pen(s), and what the price of each of these beauties will likely be.

Warm regards,

The FPN Admin Team

With special thanks to Ruaidhrí for the magnificent work done for these mock-ups! And yes, these are only mock-ups, not photographs of real pens ...

The poll is up, as is more information, including tentative pricing - click here....

I look forward to the poll. I imagine I am in the minority when I say I can only use pens that are slim and light. Big fat pens are not for me.

WOW, amazing the difference three letters can make.I meant the Model T without the stones.

I also love the celluloid Etruia, but I like the gold trim.

Oh man, definitely the Model T with Palladium trim!

Cool, but I guess I'll have to change my FPN skin back to the default so it will go with one of the pens smile.gif.Dave

To get more than just academic interest from me, it has to be affordable, and the filling mechanism has to be operable without removing any non-captive parts that one wouldn't also remove to use the pen.Forgive me for being dense, but what is it that makes these hypothetical pens identifiable as FPN specials? Is there a FPN logo I'm not seeing?Seriously, they're all lovely.

Stipula Etruria in celluoid, gold or silver works. That combo would look lovely.

The minimum is an FPN inscription, plus, these will be made exclusively for FPN. The Passaporto was never done in this material, the Model T not in gold or not in this material and a section without the bottom ring, which we pen lovers prefer, and this material is very new for the Model T anyway, the Etruria wasn't done in either material ever. As to gold colour options on Passaporto and Model T: that is very unique, and goes extremely well with the colour of the resin, in our opinions.Other than that, we are still discussing if we could add an FPN logo, but that may not be so easy, and relatively expensive too. It requires redesign of the Etruria clip, probably a logo "stone" for the Model T, and a logo on the barrel for the Passaporto. However, it is hard to come up with something that will work based on the FPN logo, so that it is still recognizable as such, plus, as mentioned, it adds significatly to the cost. The flling mechanisms are either cartridge and/or eyedropper with the Passaporto, C/C and/or eyedropper with Model T, and either C/C or PF with the Etruria. We did specifically ask for PF in the case of the Etruria, so we do hope that is the preference of most people .Affordable is relative, which is why we ideally would like to do a production run of one of each, but that depends on people's interest. 100 is a minimum for each run.HTH, warm regards, Wim

Cool! Thanks, Ruaidhrí  Based on looks alone, I loove the Passaporto! Based on filling mechanism, the Etruria PF appeals (but I am speculating that one is out of my price range). I don't think an FPN logo is necessary. We'll remember! heh.

My favourites among the prototypes: Stipula Etruria, Blue celluloid, silver trims.Stipula Modello T,azurite section, palladium trim.Don't know what to say about the stone though  The most striking among them all is the blue celluloid one... good god it looks awesome! Piston filler, yes please! :lol:By the way, no love for the Stipula Vedo?

What a wonderful project! Thanks very much for taking the time.I would currently say the azurite Etruria with the silver trim

I'd like to see one with a titanium nib too - all of them are wonderful!!

Definitely Etruria blue celluloid w/gold trim. whatever style wins, pleeeeeeeeezzzzze no siiver (white metal) trim. That makes any pen look like the 50-cent eyedroppers you buy in Syrian markets.

I'm not a huge fan of blue pens, so I like those above that are darker- toward indigo. Prefer no metal trim near the gripping area, too.Assuming such a pen could be had with the normal range of Stipula stub/italic nibs, the "Azurite Resin, silver (14 K nib)" is a WINNER!Regards, gregETA: just read all the other comments. My vote, FWIW, would be an FPN text engraving subtly (no larger or brighter than the standard Stipula engraving) on the barrel of the pen, and no logo.

I like all of these pens but the price range from the passoporto to the Etruria is enormous... that is if the FPN pens follow the normal price of these pens...skyppere

Is there a thread somewhere where we can see pics of all the past FPN pens?

Roughly, yes, although we try to be less expensive. However, the idea is to cater for everybody with different price ranges and options. As long as at least 100 people can band together, a pen can be produced. Just watch the sidebar for further developments, later today :D.HTH, warm regards, Wim

Don't like the Passaporto (looks too squat and fat to be practical for writing with), but liking the look of the Modello T and the Etruria.
