This pen has been gently used -- but because the metal finish is smooth, every minor scuff is visible. The pen can be polished & treated to remove these signs of surface wear. The dark area on the bottom in the photo below is a shadow, not tarnishing. Sorry for the bad lighting! The pen is not heavy. The writing quality of the M nib is amazing and the pen looks both stylish and low-key.

I have a Cerruti 1881 fountain pen and, since installing a converter, it has become one of my go to pens. They are great quality, in my experience, even if they are not majore players in the fountain pen world.
