Hi Manuel,

This one is pretty easy to date.

1st or 2nd Quarter 1937.

Congratulations!

This is a very collectable pencil.

This style was manufactured part of the 2nd quarter of 1937.

If you might want to sell, drop me an email at isaacson@frontiernet.net or send PM via FPN.

Thanks.

Another questions:

how you know its second quarter of 1937.

looks original pencil. Has the original parker leads and no crips or cracks.

And thanks David but I don´t know how much can cost it. If you want please send me a private message and tell me how much you offer for the pencil.

Pens/Pencils by Parker from this era have two digit date code on barrel after "made in USA". The first Vacs from this generation bear "27" for 2nd quarter 1937. First ads citing the release of this model date to August 1937, suitable lag time from 2nd quarter production. Barrels can be switched of course, and questions exist about a trickling out of pens at slightly later dates, but the manufacture seems to be 2nd quarter.

I'll drop you a note.

regards

david
