PRESENTATION OF MB SKELETON PEN SERIES(PART 1)

Recommended Posts

Hello to everybody. Below I will present the MB skeleton pen series.

MONTBLANC 75TH ANNIVERSARY SKELETON -year 1999

The advent of Montblanc's 75th anniversary brought the Skeleton Demonstrator. This pen is a magnificent example of the penmaker's art. Only 75 pieces were made.

MONTBLANC SKELETON STAR-year 2001

The next version of the Skeleton Demonstrators is what might be called the bargain model, the 333 Demonstrator. The MB skeleton star is a tribute, true to the last detail, to this first-ever skeletonised fountain pen. It is the only skeleton pen which is not made of solid gold.

MONTBLANC JOHN HARRISON-year 2003

This pen commemorates the inventor of the marine chronometer -- essentially the man who made it possible to accurately navigate at sea. Taking this theme, the Harrison Skeleton depicts a map of the world in 18K gold covering both the cap and barrel.

MONTBLANC MAGICAL BLACK WIDOW-year 2004

With the Limited Edition Black Widow, Montblanc pays masterful tribute to the ancient myth of the spider. Its limitation of 88 pens worldwide.

Best regards

*sniff* *sniff* So pretty! You forgot to mention the Pompidou though! :P

You should really write a review of sorts for your pens.

Thanks for the pics of some amazing pens.

The spider web design is my favorite.

Do you know what metal was used for the black widow and the skeleton star?

Thanks,

Jeen

Those MBs easily blow Montegrappa and Omas limited editions in terms of craftsmanship.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Hello Axel,

Indeed a fantastic collection. The MB skeleton pens are my favorities. They are really pieces of art. They are by far the best pens available in the market nowadays. By the way, I was wondering which is heavier MB skeleton 75th anniversary of the MB Magical Black Widow?

In close ups, the nib work on the 75th Anniversary gold skeleton is amazing!

PS: I love the Black Widow, and hope to hunt one down when I have money!

Ahh, I'd never seen it from that angle. I'd have recognized it if I'd seen the figure on the pen.

That first 149 skeleton does cast somewhat of a shadow on the others... it doesn't look like it is in the same league to me.

Did you mean that MB skeleton 75th anniversary is the best skeleton pen?

Best regards
