Pelikan MK 60 Piston stuck

I have a Pelikan MK60 that a friend brought back from Germany in the 70's. I let the ink dry out in it and managed to flush it clean. After cleaning the piston got stuck and it will not load any ink. How do I safely disassemble the pen to lubricate the piston? Thanks, Rick

Thanks to Danny Fudge and Joel Hamilton.... ooooooops i applied lithium grease instead of the the silicon... how will that effect the pen? Also the nib came off at the gold ring and appears to have been glued on... what's the best way to reassamble the pen?

Well, the lithium grease worked like a charm. I was able to reassemble the pen using plumbers teflon tape and slidding the nib back on the pen body. If the piston ever needs lubrication again I will be able to disassamble the pen to grease it again. It's great to be writing with it again. :D

Sorry for off-topic - but isn't it a MK 30? I'm not a Pelikan specialist, so forgive my curiosity - I own a MK 30, that looks quite similarily.

Don't worry what people think. They don't do it too often.
