Hello To The Lamy Forum

I was going to post my reintroduction to the general forum topic, but then I realized that I spend 95% of my reading time here. I havent posted much for several years, but I have recently wanted to become more active again,

When I joined FPN in 2011, I had a strong dislike for Lamy, especially the 2000. Then in early 2015 I acted on a whim and snagged one on eBay for a price I couldnt pass up. Rather than the stiff, cold feeling that I didnt like about brand new 2000s, this one had a worn patina that made it melt in my hand. The love affair was awakened.

Now my daily carry is that original 2000 EF, an OM makrolon, an OBB steel, a multi-color bp, a mechanical pencil, and a vintage fine (that I think is 1st generation, but Im not sure.) I also sometimes carry a couple of the Al Stars that I got because I wanted the colors, but I usually stick with the 2000s.

I still have a few of my other pens, but the 2000s fight hard to keep their place in my daily carry. I have read your Lamy conversations for years, and I look forward to participating in some conversations now, too.

Lamy 2000 are great pens. The french pen forum, stylo-plume.org just celebrated the 2000 as "sujet du dimanche", a thread which celebrates weekly another classic:
