Identification Of Some Sheaffers?

So i have been tidying out my (inherited) collection, and finding that I am getting more intrigued by the popularity of Fountain pens.

Am thus very curious as to the models I have gotten my hands on. Would anyone be kind enough to share please?

Thanks a lot in advance, am eternally grateful to all you out here!

Left to R. from first photo to last

Sheaffer Connoisseur & Sheaffer PFM

Pilot ?? Sheaffer Targa Standard

The last seems to be a Sheaffer TRZ-70 I am not sure..it takes slim cartridges-converter descontinued line and hard to find

In the first picture I don't think it's a PFM -- the cap just isn't the right shape, as the band is straight and not tapered. But I'm at a loss for what other inlaid nib model it could be -- doesn't look quite like the imperials either. The cap looks like a Legacy I. Is it a snorkel filler (i.e. could you show us the back of the nib?)

There are an Awful Lot of Pictures at sheaffertarga.com... : )

I agree that it looks more like a Legacy than a PFM - the PFM cap was only held on with those little bumps, this has a trim between nib section and body like a Legacy.

Hi!

Can someone identify this Sheaffer? I was gifted this Says Made In Canada.

Thanks!

Merry Christmas and happy new year!

Hello Vera,

You have a beautiful Sheaffer Skripsert model. It was an early cartridge filler and is approximately 60 years old. Experts, please correct my age estimate. I have several in green, gray, red, black --one with a gold plated cap like yours. However, I've never seen the blue pen you have. It's a great writer, as most Sheaffers if well cared for. You have lovely handwriting!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year,

Best wishes,

Barry

60 years would be about right for that Skripsert. The "toenail" nibs were made until 1959

The Pilot in Curio55's post is a Custom 742. That model is currently in production and value can be ascertained on eBay.
