So I guess it's safe to assume that all the parts are matte black, as opposed to the more glossy black variation of the midnight black Starwalker.

 

PS: Will they ever get around to releasing an Ultra Black 149?

Maybe in the future. The politic of MB with ultra black is to release it on a new model each year and only available for one year. So maybe a year MB will release a 149 UB.

Ditto. Not a fan of ultra black, nor of the Starwalker series, but these are good looking. Might get one just for a fun pen.

Held one in person. It's a very well executed pen. Even the nib and the grip has been darkened. The entire pen looks amazing.
