Nice!

Two great versions of the 149.

I‘m surprised to see the old style feed on the 1960s pen. Both of mine show one generation later feeds.

Did you note the slight differences in the „M“ imprint on the nib?

Are the nibs F and OB?

How does the nib on the 60s model feel compared to the older one? I have a 18C nib which feels very stiff but I expect the 14C to show more flex.

Enjoy in good health

Michael

Thanks, i think the very first "modern" version had the same feed as the latest celluloid 149.

The nibs look very similar, except one is a F (says so on the blind cap) and the other i think is a BB (not sure though).

Both nibs are nice wet and springy.

The celluloid 149 has 2 vent holes in the cap, whereas the newer one only has one.

~ farmdogfan:

Thank you so much for the outstanding pen images.

Your image composition and lighting is a pleasure to see.

These posts give ideas for my own photography, for which I'm grateful.

May I please ask what ink is shown in the image above?

I like it's subdued color and shading.

Thank you very much Fountainbel, i like the celluloid models much better than the "resin" versions, wonderful piston mechanisms, nice nibs, and the celluloid feels nicer to touch.

Regards Per.

great pics thanks for sharing

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

My heart skips a beat every time I see a ski-slope feed.

Reviewing the photos and the conversation on this thread made my day.

What a great collection. I’ve known of silver cap rings on older 149’s, but this is the first i’ve seen one. The photos are great. Thanks for sharing it with us.
