The instructions show it filling an eye-dropper style pen. Did MB make an eye-dropper??

Yes, I might have a vintage catalog showing this bottle.

And those ink bottles are also used to fill safety fillers which Montblanc made until the 30‘s.

Today it is a very desireable piece!

Cheers

To my regret (as a pacifist) the gun shaped ink pot is real.

Oh yes, Montblanc also made eye-dropper pens. But what you can see on the instruction paper is a safty-filler.

At least they included a safety ;)

Have seen that in very old Montblanc ads, but never a photo of the actual traveling inkwell. Excellent condition! Thank you very much for sharing, OCArt.

"traveling inkwell"?

I can't imagine trying to get that past TSA :yikes:

It's very cool though.

+1 on that sentiment. Well, not a total pacifist (I'm like a friend of mine -- I'm *completely* okay with sucker punching Nazis B)).

The entire concept is kinda appalling. I can just see someone getting shot for real while they're yelling "No no, it's just an inkwell...." :(

I'm just betting any second now I'll get targeted with another "get your concealed carry permit online" ad now. (The *first* one got reported to Wim -- and ALSO to the Internet Crime Complaint Center for violating Pennsylvania law).

This is a poor attempt at humor. You're better than this. Edited by gary

I was being kind, not naive.

You advocate physical violence.

Physical violence by way of sneak attack.

Such is the level of discourse.

I'm with you Ruth. I could see that getting confiscated at the airport or be mistaken for a very small pistol like a Baby Browning.

I am wondering what is it worth to a collector.
