I.d. Assistance, Please. Is This A Vintage Mb146 Or Not?

Hi,

 

I recently acquired this pen, which, according to the imprint on the piston knob, is a 146.

However, it seems to me that this is only part of the story. The cap looks more like a Danish 246 (I live in Denmark, and I purchased it here)... And the nib is a single-toned gold #6.

 

So, the question is whether this is indeed a 146 - or if it's actually two (or more) Montblanc's. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your second guess is correct. It's a 146 barrel with a 246 cap.

That's my guess as well. I think that this is two pens... A 146 barrel, with a cap and nib from a Danish 246. I don't know if there's a difference in the feeders from those two pens that would let me figure out which of the two it's from...

I was about to say that the nib and feed looks wrong for the barrel, but 'farmdogfan' said it for me.

 

It may be a 146 barrel and 246 cap, nib and feed.
