Please can anyone help me to identify this pen.

The nib displays the words and numbers :

SHEAFFER

585 – 14K

AUSTRALIA

The pen measurements ( in mm ) –

closed length is 139

cap 129

the barrel and nib 120

lower shell including gold band 55

The nearest I found was a Lady Sheaffer Skripert IV clipless fountain pen with the same black enamelled fimish with paisley pattern ( sheaffertarga.com. )

The differences are :

The clip

The end shape of the cap and barrel – my one is flat finished

The double band and their positions on the lower shell on my pen to the single band

My nib is solid gold the other is stainless steel

A great many thanks for your time.

Hi jar,

Many thanks for your fast reply.

I have just googled Sheaffer Skripsert and looked at all the images available.

All have totally different caps and lower shells to my pen, the nib on a few are similar, most are Stylpoint.

Perhaps you would be kind enough to upload a photograph of one of your Skripsert pens or leave a link for me to look at.

Happy New Year to All

Sheaffer Stylist ? Looks like a Stylist but i have not seen one in that finish. Keep in mind there were 2 styles of stylist. The reversible one and the short sheath point one.

Looking for a cap for a Sheaffer Touchdown Sentinel Deluxe Fat version

I came across one in bright yellow/gold with exactly this same pattern on ebay; at first I thought it was a Lady Sheaffer but it was a Flexline (or something like that). Can't find it now.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.
